Job summary

Baxter and Woodman Inc is hiring an entry-level Transportation Engineer for our Bannockburn, Naperville, Crystal Lake, O’Hare, Mokena, IL offices. You will contribute to design and construction engineering on transportation projects for state, county and local agencies.

You will work in a team with diverse disciplines, performing roadway, utility and drainage tasks using Civil3D/OpenRoads, and assist with plans, specifications, and construction support. A B.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Ability to travel within service area with own transportation.
• Demonstrated writing, verbal, computer and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design Roadway, Underground Utility and Infrastructure improvements using Civil3D or OpenRoads.
• Conduct drainage and traffic studies for municipal, county and state clients.
• Prepare engineering plans and specs per IDOT standards.
• Assist with construction engineering services for various clients.
• Collaborate with project engineers and managers to deliver projects.
