Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking December 2026 and May 2027 graduates to join the team in an entry-level design and analysis role. The position supports the engineering team with technical design, project coordination, and ensuring compliance under a P.E.’s guidance.

You will prepare reports, review technician work, and collaborate with managers across traffic, transportation, and roadway projects. The role emphasizes reliability, communication, and the ability to meet deadlines Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months from start date.
• Previous internship with a civil design firm is beneficial.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical reports, studies, and documentation using MS Office Suite.
• Direct and review the work of engineering technicians to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative engineering solutions.
• Assist a Project Manager in preparing traffic and transportation design plans and studies.
• Develop roadway and highway design plans, including plans, specs, and estimates.
