Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking December 2026 and May 2027 graduates to contribute to design, analysis, and implementation on engineering projects. You will assist in technical design, project coordination, and ensure compliance under a licensed P.E. guidance.

Responsibilities include preparing reports, reviewing work of technicians, and coordinating with managers to develop innovative site development and district infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Internship experience in a civil design firm is beneficial.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical reports and documentation using MS Office Suite.
• Direct and review the work of engineering technicians to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to develop engineering solutions.
• Assist in the design and preparation of site development plans, focusing on grading, drainage, and utility layouts.
• Analyze design alternatives to address site constraints and meet client objectives.
• Support permitting and regulatory compliance for site development projects.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining Capital Improvement Plans (CIPs) for budgeting and forecasting.
• Support the development of engineering reports such as ACRs, Re-rates, and EPPs.
• Review development plans, plats, and drawings for compliance with standards.
• Provide site visits, contractor pay reviews, and project documentation support.
