Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking an entry-level Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The role involves construction, maintenance and repair of electrical transmission systems across multiple sites, with potential travel to other states based on customer needs.

Key tasks include stringing overhead wire, setting poles, and assisting with transformers, cutouts, insulators and switchgear. Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment.
• A Commercial Driver’s License is preferred.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while performing construction, maintenance or repair of energized and de-energized overhead lines.
• Stringing overhead wire.
• Setting poles and anchors.
• Assist with installing transformers, switchgear and related hardware.
• Assist in replacing fuses in transformers and clears faulted circuits and systems.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
