Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking an entry level Heavy Equipment Operator to support construction, maintenance and repair of electrical transmission systems at various locations. The role may require travel to another state depending on customer demands.

Responsibilities include pole setting, transformer and switchgear assistance, and working with high voltage systems while following safety protocols. Candidates should have 2+ years of experience and be able to lift over 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of minimum experience.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License within 60 days of employment; CDL preferred.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Willing to work overtime and at variable locations.

Responsibilities

• Set poles and anchors for transmission lines.
• Assist with installing transformers, arrestors, crossarms, insulators, switches and switchgear.
• Assist in replacing fuses and clearing faulted circuits.
• Work with energized HV systems and maintain safety protocols.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment and tools in good condition.
• Capable of working at heights and in confined spaces.
