Job summary

Stantec’s Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering team in Florida is seeking an entry-level Transportation Engineer to join the team. You will build foundational skills in data preparation, analysis, and presentation while supporting transportation planning and engineering projects of varying size and complexity.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
EI or EIT certification, or the ability and willingness to obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
Fundamental to novice experience with MUTCD, HCM, and HSM preferred; Synchro and ArcGIS familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform traffic forecasting and traffic operations analysis.
Support safety network screening, site diagnosis, countermeasure selection, and economic appraisal using historical, predictive, and systemic safety analysis methods.
Participate in field reviews and data collection.
Assist with concept development including signing, striping, signalization, and channelization per FDOT/FHWA guidance.
Support development of technical documentation, graphics, memorandums, reports, and presentations.
Collaborate with project team on transportation planning and safety assignments.
