North American Rail Solutions (NARS) is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Trackman I. This entry-level role supports construction, maintenance, and repair of railroad track systems and requires physical stamina, safety commitment, and ability to work outdoors as part of a crew.

The position involves installing and maintaining tracks, switches, inspecting components, and reporting issues to supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience in railroad, heavy construction or maintenance preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.
• Willingness to travel to multiple job sites, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain railroad tracks and related infrastructure.
• Perform track construction, replacement, and repair tasks.
• Operate hand tools and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
• Inspect track components for wear, damage or safety concerns.
• Record work performed and report issues.
• Respond to after-hours callouts for emergencies.
• Assist in re-railing train cars and restoring track integrity.
• Follow safety regulations and wear PPE.
