Job summary

BizFirst is recruiting for a Systems Engineer to join a SIGINT processing systems development program based at Fort Meade, MD. This entry-level to junior role moves a system administrator into systems engineering on a Linux/Kubernetes software team, supporting data ingest, protocol processing and microservices.

The role requires an active TS/SCI with FSP, a relevant engineering degree (or 5 years of related experience), and onsite work at Fort Meade. Benefits are provided by the client.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with FSP required.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or Engineering Management; or 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with Linux environment administration and patching.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance and support to SIGINT software team.
• Perform installs, configuration, integration, patches, and security architecture changes.
• Optimize sensor systems and ensure continuous operation.
• Contribute to systems engineering documentation and interface control documents.
• Coordinate action items across cross-disciplinary reviews.
