Job summary

bizfirst seeks a Software Engineer to develop Python microservices for SIGINT mission systems at Fort Meade, MD. You will containerize services with Docker, deploy on Kubernetes using Helm, and integrate with existing SIGINT interfaces in a SOA environment.

The role requires an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph, a CS/CE degree or equivalent experience, and strong Linux shell skills. Onsite work in a secure government facility is expected with immediate start for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering plus 7 years of software engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with Python, Docker, Kubernetes and Helm (all four required)
• Linux/Unix command line and shell/Bash scripting proficiency
• Onsite work at Fort Meade, MD

Responsibilities

• Develop microservice solutions in Python for SIGINT mission systems
• Containerize services with Docker and deploy to Kubernetes using Helm charts
• Integrate new services with SIGINT system interfaces
• Design components for a service-oriented architecture (SOA)
• Apply microservices deployment patterns to deliver reliable, maintainable services
• Collaborate in the program's build environment to compile, package, and release software
• Automate development and deployment tasks with shell/Bash scripts
• Troubleshoot containerized services running on Linux
