Job summary

LandDesign is seeking an entry-level Survey Field Technician to join our team and support land development projects. This role offers hands-on field experience and training on modern surveying equipment and procedures.

You will work alongside experienced surveyors and engineers, collecting field data and assisting with surveys for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Outdoor work on active sites is expected with a robust benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily field survey operations on land development projects.
• Support boundary and topographic surveys used for site planning and design.
• Help perform construction staking for roads, utilities, buildings, and storm drainage systems.
• Set up and operate survey equipment such as GPS (RTK), robotic total stations, and data collectors (training provided).
• Collect and record accurate field data for use by engineers and designers.
• Assist in locating property corners, right-of-way lines, easements, and utilities.
• Maintain organized electronic data and field notes.
• Help maintain and transport survey equipment safely and properly.
