Job summary

LandDesign, Inc. seeks an entry-level Survey Field Technician to join our team and support land development projects.

You will work with seasoned surveyors and engineers to collect field data and assist with boundary and topographic surveys for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The role offers on-the-job training on modern surveying equipment (GPS RTK, robotic total stations, data collectors) and a hands-on path to learn field procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily field survey operations on land development projects.
  • Support boundary and topographic surveys used for site planning and design.
  • Help perform construction staking for roads, utilities, buildings, and storm drainage systems.
  • Set up and operate survey equipment such as GPS (RTK), robotic total stations, and data collectors (training provided).
  • Collect and record accurate field data for use by engineers and designers.
  • Assist in locating property corners, right-of-way lines, easements, and utilities.
  • Maintain organized electronic data and field notes.
  • Help maintain and transport survey equipment safely and properly.

LandDesign is seeking an entry-level Survey Field Technician to join our team and support land development projects. This role is a great opportunity for someone interested in surveying, civil engineering, or construction to gain hands-on field experience.

You will work alongside experienced surveyors and engineers to collect field data and assist with surveys for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Training will be provided on modern surveying equipment and field procedures.

This position involves primarily outdoor work on active construction sites and undeveloped properties. Work may include walking through uneven terrain, wooded areas, and working in varying weather conditions.
