Job summary

Bowman in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Survey CAD Technician I to support the preparation of project deliverables and contract documents under supervision. You will learn survey and mapping tasks, draft drawings from field notes, and perform computations for boundary surveys, stakeouts, and plan layouts, using Carlson, Inroads/Geopak and Revit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• An associate degree in survey, geography, architecture or civil engineering is preferred.
• Entry level position; any surveying/CAD experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, construction layout, boundary surveys and subdivision work.
• Knowledge of Carlson, Bentley Inroads/Geopak, Revit or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Convert field data into electronically generated drawings and project documents.
• Perform horizontal computations for boundary surveys and alignments.
• Draft final house location surveys from field notes.
• Compute horizontal positions for buildings, streets, curbs for stakeouts.
• Check record plats for completeness before review.
• Submit plots to county for review.
• Learn ALTA Land Title, topographic and boundary survey procedures.
• Handle a variety of complex computations for traverse and stakeouts.
