Job summary

Tufts Medicine - Lowell General Hospital is seeking an entry level Surgical Technician to support the perioperative team in the Operating Room. You will assist the surgeon with instruments, maintain sterility, and help organize equipment throughout the perioperative process.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and BLS certification; new graduates or those with limited healthcare experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• New graduates or candidates with 0–12 months of healthcare experience are eligible.

Responsibilities

• Functions in a professional manner as the Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room.
• Maintains aseptic technique during setup, patient draping and procedures.
• Scrubs on cases and assists with instrumentation and counts.
• Prepares instruments, supplies and equipment for surgical cases.
• Supports the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
