Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0‑Less than 12 months of healthcare experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• New graduates must obtain credential within 12 months of graduation date.
• BLS certification required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Functions in a professional manner as the Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room.
• Maintains aseptic technique during setup and procedure.
• Scrubs on surgical cases and assists in instrument organization.
• Prepares instruments, supplies and equipment for cases.
• Perform all counts with the circulating nurse per OR policy.
• Manage intraoperative medications according to policy.
• Assist in positioning, moving and transporting patients as needed.
• Participate in OR activities related to quality improvement and continuing education.
