SAM, a nationwide geospatial and construction-phase solutions leader, is seeking a field technician to support surveying and mapping projects in the El Paso area. The role involves identifying utilities and control points, operating surveying equipment, and aiding in traffic control plan implementation.

Candidates should be prepared for outdoor work in all weather, travel as needed, and physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Physical ability to carry and operate surveying tools and equipment.
• Willingness to travel for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying utilities, structures, and control points on plans and in the field.
• Operate and maintain field tools and equipment as required.
• Support implementation of traffic control plans.
• Develop skills through certification programs for advancement.
• Record data accurately in the field using surveying gear.
• Load and unload equipment into vehicles and assist others as needed.
