Job summary
Electric Power Systems (EPS) is a NETA-accredited independent electrical testing and engineering organization providing acceptance testing, commissioning, and maintenance for data centers, utilities, renewables, and industrial facilities across North America. The Field Technician I role supports inspection, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment in transmission and distribution substations.

Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must pass a satisfactory criminal background check.
- Able to work overtime and travel out of town for periods of time.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
Responsibilities
- Assist with entry-level testing of high/medium/low voltage electrical equipment under supervision.
- Support inspection, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment in substations.
- Follow procedures and test plans to ensure equipment operates safely and correctly.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues using basic schematics and guidance from senior staff.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and assist with component replacement.
- Complete and maintain basic documentation of work performed.
- Support field activities and learn proper techniques from engineers.
