Job summary
Elelectric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking an Entry-level Field Technician I to support inspection, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment in transmission and distribution substations. You will work under experienced technicians, performing hands-on tasks and basic troubleshooting with strict safety practices.
Working alongside engineers, you will develop skills in high, medium, and low voltage testing, safety procedures, and documentation while contributing to reliable power system
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Criminal background check required.
- Willing to work overtime and travel out of town.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills appreciated.
Responsibilities
- Assist with entry-level testing of high, medium, and low voltage electrical equipment under supervision.
- Support inspection, testing, and maintenance of equipment in substations.
- Follow procedures and test plans to ensure equipment operates safely.
- Assist with documenting work performed and maintaining reports.
- Work with senior technicians and engineers to learn proper techniques.
