Job summary

Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a Recruiter I to engage high school and community college students across the state. You will counsel prospective students and parents, and represent MTSU at recruitment events.

This entry-level role requires a bachelor's degree, valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel extensively, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Entry level position with no experience required.
• Valid driver’s license is required; a DMV background check will be conducted prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Recruit students from high schools and community colleges across Tennessee.
• Counsel prospective students and their parents, and represent MTSU at high school recruitment events.
• Serve as liaison with faculty and staff involved in the admissions process.
• Extensive travel; occasional evening, weekend and extended work hours required.
• Cultivate and develop relationships with high school counselors, principals, and community college counselors and other enrollment influencers.
