Job summary

Jacobs is hiring a Ports & Maritime Structural Engineer in Florida. You will join a global team delivering resilient waterfront infrastructure, from piers to bulkheads, for coastal communities.

You’ll perform structural analyses, generate drawings, and contribute to proposals while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The role requires a Civil Engineering BS, 4+ years in structural engineering with concrete/steel, and PE or progress toward licensure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • 4+ years of progressive structural engineering experience focusing on concrete/steel.
  • Working knowledge of ACI, AISC, AASHTO and seismic design for marine structures.
  • PE license or ability to obtain within one year.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis software and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design of marine/waterfront structures.
  • Prepare calculations, reports, drawings and specifications.
  • Support cost estimates, schedules, and bid documents.
  • Lead condition assessments, site investigations, and construction support.
  • Coordinate with teams, subconsultants, contractors and clients.
  • Assist with proposals and client engagement activities.
  • Manage tasks or small projects within quality, schedule, and budget.
  • Contribute to innovation and resilience in ports/m maritime practice.

Skills
