Job summary

Wegmans in Washington, DC is seeking entry-level Store Management roles. This full-time, hybrid position involves coordinating daily customer service operations, participating in store management duties, and leading a team of customer service staff.

You will open/close the store, balance tasks with department management, monitor customer traffic, and ensure outstanding service. The successful candidate will have retail or grocery experience and strong multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role preferably in food service, grocery or retail.
• Ability to multitask and handle interruptions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills for daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage store operations between daytime and nighttime hours, acting as key leader and liaison among teams and departments.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks with department management to ensure Front End checkout runs efficiently and balance customer traffic.
• Lead a team of customer service employees, providing resources, training, feedback and development opportunities.
• Provide excellent customer service to customers and employees, upholding company values and standards.
• React quickly to operational challenges in collaboration with store leadership.
• Participate in and/or lead special projects to strengthen company culture.
