Job summary

Judd Wire, Inc. in Turners Falls, MA is seeking an Entry Level Machine Spark Operator for the 3rd shift. You will perform operations related to measuring, inspecting, testing and re-spooling wire and cable in preparation for shipping or next operation.

The company provides on-the-job training starting day one and throughout your career, with a listed hiring range of $19.28 to $22.91 per hour plus a $3.00 per hour shift differential for 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge of ordinary arithmetic including decimals, fractions, and simple use of specification together with use of adjustable measuring instruments.
• Be a team player, enjoy detailed work and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Operate sparking machine to set up wire, test voltage and ensure continuity.
• Inspect wire and cable for defects during processing.
• Use micrometer to verify conductor size and insulation centering.
• Tag reels and direct to next operation per specs.
• Report unusual conditions or defects and maintain a clean work area.
