Job summary

Judd Wire Inc. in Turners Falls, MA is seeking a Braid Machine Operator for the 2nd shift. You will perform operations related to measuring, inspecting, testing and re-spooling wire in preparation for shipping or next operation, with on-the-job training provided from day one.

The role involves operating braiding equipment, maintaining machine settings, and following safety procedures. A high school diploma or GED and basic math skills are required; a shift differential is offered for 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of arithmetic including decimals, fractions, and simple use of specifications with adjustable measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Process wire braiding operations per orders and specs.
• Inspect and measure wire gauges; verify footage.
• Maintain braiding machine setup; adjust speeds and tension.
• Perform routine maintenance and oiling; replace reels.
• Manage raw materials inventory in the system.
• Detect defects and report to supervision; maintain safety.
• Assist with related duties as assigned.
