Job summary

Judd Wire, Inc. in Turners Falls, MA is seeking an entry level Sparker on the 3rd shift to support wire and cable processing.

You will set up and operate a sparking machine, measure conductor size, and inspect for insulation quality to ensure compliant product readiness for shipping or downstream operations. The role includes on-the-job training from day one, a modest starting wage with a 3rd shift differential, and opportunities to learn multiple machines while maintaining safety and quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Basic arithmetic including decimals and fractions is needed.
• Be a team player, enjoy detailed work and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Operate sparking machine and set up equipment to meet specifications.
• Test wire and inspect for correct voltage and alignment; document results.
• Inspect wire for defects and remove faulty pieces from production.
• Use a micrometer to verify conductor size and insulation alignment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety rules; be willing to cross-train on other machines.
