Job summary

Amentum seeks a software engineer to design and implement graphical user interfaces for local tools, collaborating with a user community to ensure usability and reliability.

You will update software using C++ and DevOps tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitLab, participating in agile coding, testing, and documentation. Occasional travel to test events is required.

This role may require commuting to Fredericksburg or Dahlgren, VA and adherence to security requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, Computers Science, and/or Physics.
• Active Secret US Government Clearance is required.
• Experience with software development lifecycle and testing.
• Agile software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop GUIs for local tools with user team.
• Develop software updates using C++ and DevOps tools.
• Support test events with travel opportunities.
