Job summary

DoorDash is seeking an Software Engineer I, Entry-Level in the United States to join its engineering team. You will work closely with a mentor and experienced engineers to build and operate reliable, scalable software that powers interactions among consumers, merchants, and delivery partners across the global platform.

As you progress, you’ll own parts of projects, learn systems at scale, and contribute to code reviews, testing, and best practices while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in Computer Science or a related discipline, graduating Fall 2026–Summer 2027
• At least two software engineering internships or equivalent, with no more than two years of full-time experience
• Experience with at least one object-oriented language (Python, Java, or Kotlin)
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures
• Experience with databases/SQL
• Experience writing clean code, using version control, and creating unit tests

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and ship production-ready software with mentor support
• Write clean, testable code and contribute to code reviews, version control, and best practices
• Learn the systems and technical areas your work contributes to at scale
• Apply feedback to strengthen your technical skills and problem-solving
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners to solve problems for consumers, merchants, and delivery partners
