Job summary

DoorDash is seeking students to begin their engineering careers, completing a bachelor’s or master’s degree and graduating between Fall 2026 and Summer 2027. You’ll work with a mentor, manager, and experienced engineers while contributing to real products and systems on our global platform.

You’ll develop, maintain, and ship production-ready software with guidance, learn how systems operate at scale, and collaborate with teams across consumers, merchants, and delivery partners to drive impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, graduating between Fall 2026 and Summer 2027.
• At least two previous software engineering internships or equivalent practical experience, with no more than two years of full-time professional experience
• Experience using at least one object-oriented programming language (Python, Java, or Kotlin)
• A solid understanding of algorithms and data structures
• Experience working with databases and technologies such as SQL
• Experience writing clean code, using version control, and creating unit tests

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and ship production-ready software with support from your mentor and team
• Write clean, testable code and contribute to code reviews, version control, and engineering best practices
• Learn the systems and technical areas your work contributes to, including how they operate at scale
• Apply feedback and coaching to strengthen your technical skills and problem-solving approach
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners to solve problems for consumers, merchants, and delivery partners
