Job summary

DoorDash in Los Angeles offers an engineering internship for students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree. You’ll work on production-grade software under a mentor, contributing to real products and systems used by consumers, merchants, and delivery partners.

You'll gain exposure to scalable infrastructure, learn about code reviews, version control, and testing, and grow your technical skills through increasing ownership of meaningful tasks and collaboration with engineers across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in CS or related discipline, graduating Fall 2026–Summer 2027.
• Two internships or equivalent practical experience, with ≤2 years of full-time work.
• Experience with at least one OO language (Python/Java/Kotlin).
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with SQL databases and version control, plus unit tests.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and ship production-ready software with mentor support.
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews and best practices.
• Learn systems and areas you contribute to, including scale operations.
• Apply feedback to strengthen technical skills and problem-solving.
