1X is hiring an entry-level team member for hands-on sewing, textiles, and elastomer work on-site. You’ll learn fabrication fundamentals by cutting, bonding, lamination, and assembling prototypes and fixtures that move into real products.

You’ll work alongside engineers and designers, starting with execution to spec and growing toward independent ownership as skills sharpen. This on-site role emphasizes practical craft and rapid learning in a team setting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with sewing, textiles, or elastomers.
• High school diploma or technical certificate or associate degree.
• Internships or projects in sewing/manufacturing encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Build prototypes, samples, and fixtures to spec.
• Execute cut-and-sew, bonding, lamination, and assembly tasks.
• Prepare materials and maintain shop tools; keep space safe and production-ready.
• Document measurements, process notes, and results for traceability.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers; seek feedback to grow toward ownership.
