Tighe & Bond seeks an Entry Level Staff Engineer to join our Structural Building Design Team in Massachusetts. You’ll support design for new buildings, renovations, and additions, under senior engineers, using Revit, AutoCAD, and analysis tools.

The role blends office work with field observations in various MA locations and emphasizes growth, collaboration, and professional development. The ideal candidate has a structural/civil engineering degree and FE/EIT status or plans to obtain by 2027,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural.
Passed FE Exam and obtained EIT certification, or planning to by June 2027.
Familiarity with structural analysis concepts, software, and related coursework or internship experience.

Responsibilities

Support the structural design of vertical construction projects under the guidance of senior engineers.
Develop designs using steel, concrete, masonry, and wood per codes and project requirements.
Prepare structural drawings, design reports, specifications, and calculation packages using software tools like Revit, AutoCAD, and analysis programs.
Observe construction, support construction administration, review submittals, respond to contractor questions, and perform field surveys.
