Tighe & Bond, Inc. in Providence, RI is seeking an Entry Level Staff Engineer to join our Site Civil Design Team and deliver infrastructure projects across the Northeast.

You will work with industry experts, gaining hands-on experience in site planning, design, and permitting while contributing to sustainable, resilient community outcomes. Ideal candidates have a Civil/Environmental Engineering degree, FE/EIT status or plan to obtain by June 2027, internships in related fields, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• FE exam passed and EIT certification, or plan to by June 2027.
• Internships in surveying, engineering, permitting, or construction observation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support site planning and design, problem-solving, and permitting tasks.
• Draft figures, details, and plans.
• Perform field work to support design and construction.
• Prepare design calculations and opinions of probable construction cost.
• Prepare technical specifications, memoranda, reports, and project correspondence.
• Understand design standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide construction phase services including observation, review submittals, and create record plans.
