Job summary

Integrated Aqua Systems, Inc. in Vista, CA is seeking an entry-level Shop Technician I to learn foundational manufacturing skills while contributing to daily fabrication and assembly.

You will work under supervision, progressing toward independence as skills grow, handling basic fabrication tasks and documentation in a collaborative team setting. Responsibilities include reading drawings and BOMs, using hand/power tools safely, and participating in receiving, staging, and packaging activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on manufacturing and assembly.
• Ability to learn safe use of common hand and power tools, measuring tools, and shop equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, document work, perform basic math and measurements, and communicate clearly.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, dependable work habits, and ability to accept coaching and correction.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication, mechanical mounting, assembly, testing, packaging, receiving, and shipping work per drawings and BOMs.
• Use hand and power tools, measuring tools, shop equipment, adhesives, solvents safely and correctly after training.
• Complete Odoo work-order, time, material, completion, scrap, and status transactions accurately and on time.
• Inspect work during and after completion; identify defects or safety concerns before proceeding.
• Maintain organized tools, materials, and work areas following 5S standards.
• Support receiving, material staging, inventory counts, crating, loading, and facility upkeep.
