Job summary

HOLT CAT's Texas First Rentals division is seeking an entry-level technician to perform basic inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment. You will work as part of a team following established procedures to meet customer needs and department goals.

Responsibilities include learning to plan repairs, handle parts orders, maintain clean work areas, and complete repair documentation while adhering to safety policies. No prior extensive experience required; on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• One or more years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have/acquire basic mechanic hand and pneumatic tools (metric/standard).

Responsibilities

• Performs basic troubleshooting and diagnosing of equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Assists in rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining equipment and components.
• Learns how to plan equipment and component repairs.
• Learns how to complete parts orders and identify parts for return.
• Maintains all equipment and work areas - keeps in good, clean, and orderly condition.
• Completes all documents associated with repairs in a timely manner.
