Job summary

Serco Inc. in the Norfolk/Norfolk area is seeking Shipyard Laborers to support U.S. Navy shipyard installations. You will perform general manual labor, assist welders, and install electrical cables on ships and installations.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, ability to obtain a Secret clearance, background check, drug screening, and willingness to travel up to 10% to Norfolk and Chesapeake shipyards; second shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Perform general manual labor including loading, unloading, lifting and moving supplies and materials.
• Perform duties as a fire watch and welder's helper and install electric cable when needed.
• Work under immediate supervision; primary duties may not require independent judgment.
• Support high-technology installations on U.S. Navy vessels.
