Job summary

Pace Analytical Services is seeking a Scientist in the Wet Chemistry department to perform hands-on analysis of environmental samples and ensure data integrity in our Windsor Locks laboratory.

You will document procedures, interpret results, and help maintain instruments and records while working a Monday–Friday shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Pace emphasizes a mission to improve health and safety and offers training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other STEM related degrees — or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods, working around strong odors, and wearing PPE.
• Training provided for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities

• Analyze environmental samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods looking for environmental contaminants.
• Review and interpret the results from the sample analysis.
• Document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality laboratory records.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
