Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Greenville, MS, is seeking entry-level helpers to assist skilled craftspeople under supervision. You will learn to read blueprints, identify tools, and prepare materials for construction projects on site.

The role involves erecting and dismantling scaffolding, building wooden scaffolds, performing rigging tasks, and working outdoors in varying weather. The position requires safety awareness, ability to follow instructions, and willingness to work overtime, nights,

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
Experience in a field craft is preferred.
Knowledge of safety and project rules.
Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

Learn to read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, locations, quantities, and material sizes.
Learn to identify all tools required for tasks and measure, mark, and cut materials to specifications.
Assist skilled craftsman to erect and disassemble scaffolding and install ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways.
Assist with construction, re-enforcement, and dismantling pre-constructed scaffolds.
Assist with building and constructing wooden scaffolds and auxiliary items.
Perform work involving rigging of equipment loads.
