Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking a Scaffold Craftsman to support construction projects, erecting and dismantling scaffolding, and rigging loads on industrial sites. The role involves reading blueprints, selecting tools, and ensuring safe, efficient work practices.

Ideal candidates have intermediate experience in power plant or industrial settings, can follow instructions precisely, and operate hand and power tools safely in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Scaffold Craftsman in a Power Plant / Industrial setting.
• Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope of work, locations, quantities and sizes of materials.
• Identify tools required for tasks and measure, mark, and cut materials to specs.
• Erect and disassemble scaffolding for buildings and structures; install ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms and gangways.
• Construct, reinforce and dismantle pre-constructed scaffolds.
• Build and construct wooden scaffolds and auxiliary items.
• Perform rigging of equipment loads.
