Job summary

Grote Automotive – Elkhart is seeking an Automotive Sales Representative who is motivated, outgoing, and eager to learn. No prior car sales experience is required; we will teach you the business and help you develop into a confident salesperson.

If you’re friendly, driven, and ready to put in the effort, this could be the perfect fit. Open interviews daily, with on-the-spot interviews; compensation ranges from $50,000 to $70,000 per year, plus incentives.

What Does a Typical Day Look Like?

Think people, cars, conversations, and closing deals — no two days are exactly the same!

As an Automotive Sales Representative, you’ll:

• Meet customers and make connections — find out what they need, what they want, and what makes them excited about their next vehicle.


• Match people with the right vehicle — walk customers through options and show them what could be a great fit.


• Take test drives — let customers experience the vehicles for themselves and help make the process exciting.


• Stay in touch — follow up with customers, answer questions, and keep opportunities moving forward.


• Set goals and chase them — push yourself to improve, sell more, and become better every day.


• Create an experience people remember — we want customers to enjoy working with you, not feel like they’re being “sold.”
