Job summary

LOOS & CO. is seeking a Sales Clerk at their Pomfret, CT location to join a leading maker of premium wire, rope, and assemblies. The role focuses on handling incoming sales calls, processing quotes and orders, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will input orders into sales systems, assist with purchase orders, and maintain orderly files. This entry-level role reports to the Sales Manager and offers growth within a global aerospace-oriented company.

Qualifications

• General office and computer skills including some knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills.
• Organizational skills necessary to follow through on regular requests for information and select appropriate responses.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming sales calls and provide appropriate disposition.
• Inputs quotes and orders into sales systems and relays pertinent order information to customers.
• Works within sales department in handling purchase orders and providing service to customers.
• Maintains files of active orders and posts activity such as change notices, scheduling changes, partial shipments, and credit changes.
• Performs other related duties as assigned and communicates with customers and intercompany personnel.
