Job summary

LOOS & CO., INC. is seeking a Design Engineer in Pomfret, CT to design, develop, and improve wire, rope, and assembly products. You will work with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to create cost-effective, manufacturable designs that meet customer requirements and specifications.

You will develop detailed drawings, 3D models, BOMs, and documentation, and you will support new product development, testing, prototyping, and engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in mechanical design, product development, manufacturing, or related function.
• Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
• Create and modify 2D drawings and 3D CAD models with dimensions and tolerances.
• Support manufacturing by resolving design, tooling, and process issues and implementing improvements.
• Develop and maintain bills of materials and engineering documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and quality.
