Job summary

Garver is seeking an entry-level Roadway Project Engineer to join our Transportation Team in Round Rock, Texas. You will assist in designing construction documents for a variety of transportation projects and support senior engineers in delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions for our clients.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program.
Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI) or the ability to become an EIT or EI within 1 year of employment.
Strong communication skills.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and creation of construction documents on a wide variety of transportation projects.
Develop typical sections, geometric layouts, drainage and hydraulic analysis, erosion control plans, safety features and maintenance of traffic plans.
Produce construction documents including drafting, quantity computations, specifications, and cost estimates.
Training younger engineers.
Managing task assignments for younger engineers and technicians.
