Job summary

Garver in Oklahoma City is seeking an entry-level Roadway Project Engineer to join our Transportation Team. You will assist in designing and creating construction documents for transportation projects and help manage roadway design components including drainage, erosion control, safety features and traffic maintenance plans.

You will contribute to drafting, quantity calculations, specifications, and cost estimates while training and mentoring junior engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI) or the ability to become an EIT or EI within 1 year of employment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and creation of construction documents for transportation projects.
• Address roadway design components such as typical sections, geometry, drainage, erosion control, safety features, and maintenance of traffic plans.
• Produce construction documents including drafting, quantity computations, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Train younger engineers.
• Manage task assignments for younger engineers and technicians.
