Garver is seeking an entry-level Roadway Project Engineer to join our Transportation Team in Round Rock, Texas. The role focuses on assisting design and the creation of construction documents for transportation projects, with exposure to drainage, safety features, and maintenance of traffic planning.

You will contribute to drafting, quantity calculations, specifications, and cost estimating while supporting a team that values professional development and work-life balance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • Registered EIT or EI or ability to become within 1 year of employment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office.

Careers Roadway Project Engineer (Entry Level) Round Rock, Texas Garver is seeking an entry-level Roadway Project Engineer to join our growing Transportation Team in Tulsa to continue the tradition of providing quality service to our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the design and creation of construction documents on a wide variety of transportation projects.
  • Different roadway design components include typical sections, geometric layouts, drainage and hydraulic analysis, erosion control plans, safety features and maintenance of traffic plans.
  • Assignments will also involve tasks associated with producing a set of construction documents including drafting, quantity computations, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Training younger engineers.
  • Managing task assignments for younger engineers and technicians.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI) or the ability to become a EIT or EI within 1 year of employment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office
Preferred Skills
  • Previous experience or internship in consulting engineering with a primary focus on transportation projects
  • Experience with Microstation and Inroads/Open Roads
  • Familiarity with AASHTO's highway and traffic publications
