Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Roadway Designer I in Kansas to join our Civil-Roadway team. You will perform engineering models, analysis and designs, and supporting calculations, coordinating drafting for transportation projects with state and local agencies.

Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. A BS in Civil Engineering is required; E.I.T is preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and MS Office, plus teamwork and willingness to travel to project sites, is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• E.I.T (or desire to obtain P.E. in the future) preferred.
• Knowledgeable in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities

• Collect and assimilate data and perform modeling, analysis and/or design calculations of project elements.
• Draw design details under direction of others.
• Coordinate drafting of an element.
• Perform field or site visits as needed.
• Develop cursory knowledge of applicable codes and standards and use of applicable CADD and Microsoft software.
