Job summary

Mohave County Public Works is seeking an entry level Road Maintenance Worker in Meadview. This role involves operating light to medium equipment for road and property maintenance with on-the-job training and potential future heavy equipment instruction.

Applicants should be prepared for 4 ten-hour shifts, seasonal hours, and occasional overtime or travel. A valid driver’s license is required, and a background/drug screen will be conducted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
• Must pass pre-employment background screening.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Must possess a valid driver's license for operation of motor vehicles at the start of employment and maintain said license while employed.

Responsibilities

• Pothole Repair: Patch and repair damaged pavement areas.
• Shoulder Maintenance: Maintain roadway shoulders for safety.
• Construction Maintenance: Support construction-related road work.
• Crack Seal & Chip Seal: Treat approx. 90–100 miles of paved roadway each fiscal year.
• Soil Stabilization: Improve soil structure on roadways.
