Job summary

Maricopa County is seeking a Roadway Technician to join the Transportation Department. You will operate county equipment to build and maintain roads and related structures, and install traffic control devices in construction zones in accordance with MUTCD and county standards.

You should have experience in traffic control or road maintenance, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid Arizona driver's license.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in traffic control, or two years in maintenance/construction of roads.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain traffic control devices in roadwork zones.
• Operate county equipment and vehicles for road construction and maintenance.
• Inspect and document traffic control set-ups and reports using Cartegraph.
• Be on call for emergencies and participate in special projects as needed.
• Follow MUTCD standards and county procedures for traffic control.
