Job summary

RTX is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer in Tucson, AZ, to join the Effector RF Design Department onsite. You will work on RF products, creating 3D CAD models and drawings, developing prototype hardware, and supporting integration and testing on projects.

The role requires a STEM degree with up to 1 year of experience, familiarity with Creo Parametric, and the ability to obtain interim U.S. clearance with potential for special access.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 1 year of prior relevant experience.
• Experience performing design and analysis for RF product packaging (3D CAD software).
• Experience with Technical Data Packages (TDPs) using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to obtain interim clearance and potential for special program access.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a multi-discipline team to solve complex engineering problems.
• Create 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for RF product designs.
• Develop prototype hardware and coordinate fabrication.
• Perform hands-on integration and test support for prototype hardware.
• Hold design and drawing reviews with peers and SMEs.
