Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks an entry-level Resilience and Emergency Management (REM) Specialist based in Tallahassee, FL. The role supports disaster recovery, hazard mitigation, resilience planning, emergency management, grants management, and technical analysis for public-sector clients.

You will collect and analyze data, prepare reports, coordinate stakeholder communications, and contribute to projects through research, writing, and coordination.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of professional, internship, academic, volunteer, or project experience in emergency management or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, Planning, Public Policy, Geography/GIS, or related fields. A Master’s degree may substitute for experience.
• Certifications such as CFM, CAPM, AEM, GIS Certificate, EI/EIT, or similar credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, analyze, and maintain data to support project delivery and client objectives.
• Support grant and program activities, including applications and reimbursement documentation.
• Contribute to disaster recovery, hazard mitigation, and emergency management projects through research and writing.
• Prepare, maintain, and manage reports, planning documents, proposals, and dashboards.
• Coordinate meetings, stakeholder engagement, and client communications; document action items.
• Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure documentation quality and compliance.
