AtkinsRéalis is seeking an entry-level Resilience and Emergency Management (REM) Specialist to join the REM team in New York, NY. The role supports disaster recovery, hazard mitigation, resilience planning, and emergency management for public-sector clients.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of professional, internship, academic, volunteer, or project experience in emergency management, disaster recovery, hazard mitigation, grants management, planning, engineering, finance, data analysis, communications, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, analyze, and maintain data to support project delivery and client objectives.
• Support grant and program activities including applications, reimbursement documentation, compliance reviews, and monitoring.
• Contribute to disaster recovery, hazard mitigation, resilience, and emergency management projects through research and coordination.
• Prepare reports, presentations, plans, scopes of work, and other project records.
• Coordinate meetings and client communications; document actions and track progress.
• Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
• Support FEMA and HUD grant programs, hazard mitigation, and data visualization efforts.
