Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an entry-level Resilience and Emergency Management Specialist to join our REM Team in Tallahassee, FL. This role supports disaster recovery, hazard mitigation, resilience planning, emergency management, grants management, and technical analysis for public-sector clients.

You will collect and analyze data, prepare reports and presentations, coordinate stakeholder communications, and assist with QA/QC of project documentation.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of professional, internship, academic, volunteer, or project experience in emergency management or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s may substitute for experience.
• Strong writing, research, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, analyze, and maintain data to support project delivery and client objectives.
• Support grant and program activities including applications, reimbursement documentation, and compliance reviews.
• Contribute to disaster recovery, hazard mitigation, resilience, emergency management, and planning projects.
• Prepare and manage reports, proposals, and planning documents.
• Coordinate meetings and client communications; document action items and progress.
• Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance of documentation.
• Support FEMA and HUD grant programs, hazard mitigation, and data visualization tasks.
