Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking an entry level Assembler I in Colonial Heights, VA to complete refrigeration cases and sub-assemblies. You will read and interpret orders, identify parts and tools, and perform assembly tasks with hand or power tools.

Responsibilities include measuring, fastening components, and supporting the assembly team across multiple stations. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred, with benefits including medical, dental, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Entry level assembler with basic manufacturing awareness.
• Experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend an "A" order.
• Identify parts and their placement on the product.
• Identify power and hand tools used on the line.
• Read and comprehend the work order.
• Perform assembly-type tasks with hand or power tools.
• Identify parts using work order information.
• Use gauging and dimensioning information.
• Read rulers, tape measures, and metal squares.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets, or fasteners.
• Work at different stations as production needs require.
• Collaborate with the assembly team to complete units.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.
